Blubber Pad Gap Filler
Product Info
Here’s the blubber on the outside of your landing zone to keep the seams between pad stacks covered. Use it to cover talus, muddy or snowy landings or to make a seamless bed in your tent or truck. This large 48" x 72" x 1” thick pad has so many handy uses, it’s hard to write them all!
It quickly folds down from its open dimensions to a compact 36" x 24" x 6" to neatly tuck under the pocket flap of our Full Pad or under our Load Flap. The Blubber Pad pad is built from super durable 1000D Cordura Nylon.
We believe our blubber stands out from the emerging copies on the market for its extra thickness and stiffness (we use 1" of dense closed cell foam) and seamless design, We believe the blubber is to cover seams in landing zones and should not have seams in its design for the ultimate usefulness in landing zones.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a blubber pad used for?
A blubber pad covers the seams and gaps between stacked crash pads so your landing zone plays as one continuous surface. It also covers talus and muddy or snowy ground, and plenty of people use it as a sleeping surface in a tent or truck bed.
Can the Blubber Pad replace a crash pad?
No. At 1 inch thick it's built to cover seams and even out a landing zone, not to absorb a fall on its own. Use it over and between your crash pads, not instead of them.
How big is the Blubber Pad?
The landing surface is 48 by 72 inches, so it spans multiple pads. It folds down to roughly 36 by 24 by 7 inches and weighs 8 pounds, small enough to tuck under the pocket flap of our Full Pad or under our Load Flap for the hike in.
What makes this different from other seam covers?
We use a full inch of dense closed-cell foam, so it's thicker and stiffer than most of the copies out there, and our landing surface is seamless by design. Having seams in the foam would defeat the purpose of having a solid, continuous sheet of foam covering the matrix of pads under it allowing gaps as well as potential for folding at the seam if fallen on.
Can I customize the colors?
This listing is for our stock colorways. If you want your own color combination, we sew custom Blubber Pads to order through the customizable Blubber Pad listing.
